By Road:
From A1 leave at junction 49 and take A168 towards Thirsk. Leave A168 after 8 miles, at 2nd Thirsk junction, marked Thirsk and Scarborough. Then take A170 for 14 miles to arrive at Helmsley town square. Drive across square to mini roundabout; go straight ahead up an unmarked road which runs between the Black Swan and Crown Hotels. At top of road (350 yards) turn right at T-junction and Ivy Cottage, 5 Elmslac Road is 50 yards on left hand side. From Malton,take B1257 road to Helmsley, then follow directions as above from town square.
From Pickering, take A170 to Helmsley town square. At mini rounabout take 3rd exit up unmarked road and follow diretions as above.
